How to create content that sells on TikTok as a beginner
By Queen Sika · Updated
Content that sells on TikTok is not better editing. It is content where each post has one job: pull in the right person, say their problem back to them, correct the wrong fix they have been trying, and ask for one small next step.
This guide is for beginners with little or no following. It covers what to say, how to plan a week of posts at once, and how to tell whether a post did its job.
Watch it: How I Automate My Sales Content (Step-by-Step)
A step-by-step walkthrough of planning a week of selling content, including how the Content to Sales app writes the week from your buyer and your offer.
What the video covers
- Each post has one job: hook the right person, mirror the problem, correct a wrong fix, or ask.
- Write for one buyer and one problem — not for everybody.
- Plan the week at once, so you are not inventing a post every morning.
- Speak in the words your buyers use in their messages, not in marketing words.
- Keep the ask small and clear: one link, one next step.
The four jobs a post can do
Give each post one job. Trying to do all four in one video is why posts feel busy and sell nothing.
| Job | What the post does | What it sounds like |
|---|---|---|
| Hook | Stops the right person | “If your customers ask the price and vanish…” |
| Mirror | Names their situation | “You posted every day this week and got two views.” |
| Boundary | Corrects the wrong fix | “Posting more will not fix a page nobody can buy on.” |
| Ask | One small next step | “The link in my bio checks where your sales stop.” |
A week of posts that all do the same job is a week of posts that go nowhere. Rotate them.
Plan a week in one sitting
Step 1
Write the buyer sentence
One line: who they are and what is going wrong. Everything comes from here.
Step 2
List five real questions they ask you
Take them from your DMs and comments, word for word. Their words outperform anything you invent.
Step 3
Give each day one job
Two hooks, two mirrors, one boundary, one ask. Write the first line of each now, not later.
Step 4
Record them back to back
Same clothes, same spot, one sitting. The barrier is starting, not filming.
Step 5
Point every post at one place
One link that shows what you sell and takes payment. If the ask changes every day, nothing compounds.
Hooks that sound human
- Say the situation, not a slogan: “Your status has 300 views and nobody asked the price.”
- Name the wrong diagnosis: “You think it is the price. It is usually the page.”
- Say the consequence: “That is a week of posting with nothing to show.”
- Say who it is for out loud: “If you sell food from home in Accra…”
- Skip hype, guarantees and money claims — they attract the wrong people and get flagged.
How to tell if it worked
Views tell you the hook worked. Enquiries tell you the mirror worked. Sales tell you the ask and the buying path worked. Read them in that order and you always know which part to change.
| What you see | What it means | What to change |
|---|---|---|
| Low views | Hook is not landing | First line and who it is for |
| Views, no comments | Wrong audience | Say the problem earlier |
| Comments, no enquiries | No clear ask | Add one link, one step |
| Enquiries, no sales | Offer or payment path | Price in public, page that takes payment |
Posting already and still no sales?
Then the content may not be the problem. The free sales audit tells you whether it is attention, the offer or the buying path before you record anything else.
Questions people ask
How often should I post as a beginner?
Do I have to show my face?
Can I use the same content on WhatsApp status?
How Content to Sales handles this
Inside Content to Sales the week is written for you. Once your buyer and problem are proven, the app generates the week's posts with each post's job attached — hook, mirror, boundary, ask — in plain language you can say out loud, and every post points at your own business page where people can pay by mobile money. You edit the wording; you never start from a blank screen.
Find your blockage, then fix it
Start with the free sales audit — it names the stage where your sales stop before you change anything else.
